[00:00:00.0]
Let's explore some of the basic features within Keynote.
[00:00:04.0]
You could start by adding a slide.
[00:00:07.0]
You could add as many slides as you like, and you could also take away slides by hitting the minus.
[00:00:13.0]
Let's go ahead and just add a few.
[00:00:15.0]
Now, I could also change the Master, which is basically the layout of that particular slide that's selected.
[00:00:23.0]
I have got up a blank slide.
[00:00:24.0]
You could also control the different views within Keynote - outline view, and (there's) several different types.
[00:00:31.0]
We could choose a theme: click on Themes, the theme dialog box comes up,
[00:00:38.0]
pick your favorite layout, and choose the theme.
[00:00:42.0]
Now, it will load that theme layout and there you go.
[00:00:48.0]
Here is the background color; you could see it looks more robust.
[00:00:53.0]
I can click on the text to get a textbox: that's a textbox.
[00:00:58.0]
I can position it and move it around if I wish.
[00:01:00.0]
I could also choose a shape, and you could see, you can control the overlapping of the objects if you wish.
[00:01:09.0]
This is our Inspector.
[00:01:14.0]
Now I'm in my Table Inspector.
[00:01:16.0]
I just inserted a table on the screen. Now I'm going to shrink the table down.
[00:01:21.0]
What a table is, is a grid that contains data.
[00:01:26.0]
It's great for spreadsheets and graphics and such; and I could select a cell, which is one square in the grid
[00:01:35.0]
I could put content in that cell.
[00:01:37.0]
Tap delete once you select any object.
[00:01:40.0]
This is my chart. I can insert a chart using the Chart Inspector.
[00:01:47.0]
It's a wonderful way to illustrate some ideas. I'll just tap delete.
[00:01:51.0]
If I want to shrink my chart down, I can do that, and reposition.
[00:02:00.0]
If I want to delete something, I could click on it and tap delete.
[00:02:04.0]
Now, I am going to apply another textbox, and select the word 'Text', then choose my color palette.
[00:02:12.0]
I can choose a color in the color wheel, and click and drag the color from the top, and drop it on to the word.
[00:02:23.0]
Select a color, click right here, and drag it off onto the word.
[00:02:28.0]
Now, if I select 'Text' again I can resize my text by choosing this menu.
[00:02:36.0]
And I could use this slider to increase the size of the text. And this is very useful.
[00:02:45.0]
[00:02:47.0]
f the text. And this is very useful.
[00:02:45.0]
[00:02:47.0]
